The Old Folks Home

I'm getting spring fever! It's such bitter cold rain here in Washington. I set my chicks up with a dust bath of peat moss today. At first they were unsure about it, and now they are just pecking it like they think it is food. I'm sure they'll figure it out at some point! Anyhow, here are some pictures of my girls!

Eggie, Effie, Lottie and Dottie.

Thanks everyone. Wishing the best for those PT-ing, incubating, hatching, blessing, guinea-ing (whatever that is), napping (Diva), recovering (Deb), and sorry for losses under any and all circumstances. Have a great rest of the week!

Ditto! Very good cover!

Also, very exciting about you..... Can't wait to hear how things settle.

The guineas did not want their butts inspected this morning but thankfully all were on the roost. I found one that had some gross feathers under the bottom (like the bottom leaked) - but everyones vents looked fine. I'm going to chalk this up to guinea-weirdness and stop inspecting guinea-heinies. For now.
