The Old Folks Home

I guess being way up north, you have a thing about the cold and would prefer the heat... I've never been a huge fan of heat... can only take off so many clothes, then you're like Bama; a speedo wearing, lawn mowing, redneck sorta guy... still hot, still sweating

At least with cold, you can always add another layer.

Key to heat is not undress but dress properly.... Cotton and loose fitting is best. Including underwear.... and just like in the chicken coop air circulation.... Ventilation.... get the humidity out....

I am an Open the door and window and shut the screen kind of gal.... especially with a swamp cooler. You open the window or door in the room you want cool then fire it up. I am good to 110 degrees even.... though I lay low during that kind of heat.

But at 70 degrees I need a sweater or light jacket if I am not doing any work of any kind.

Yep! I love that smell! :D

Down there I would only wear 100% cotton. Even a tiny smidge of plastic whatever in a shirt and you coukd feel it! :sick

My work shirts were actually a thick pure cotton, a bit stiff, with sleaves that stopped at the elbow. I think the stiffness was good, protected better against thorns, and would stand out from the body a bit, which was also cooler.

Oddly enough, I found a pair a jeans with just a bit of plastic something that I actually liked. Strange but true. Whatever plastic it was helped the material breathe better, and gave it some stretch, which helped lots when you are covered in sweat and having to squat down.

some cotton blends with spandex are very breathable I think its the weave.

I don't sweat. I wish (there I go again) I did.

I had a friend who didnt sweat..... she would pass out .... We had to keep an eye on her her first year of riding horses.... But you know what I convinced her to drink more water.... One day because she was suffering in the heat. All the sudden she started sweating.... she was amazed....

Most people dont realize they are sweating because it evaporates so quickly .... but I do know there are some that have a medical condition causing it.
