The Old Folks Home

If I remember correctly, we got a superficial scab off one of the feet and the other foot didn't really have anything that could be described as an organized scab so we couldn't pick it off and dig like we usually do on a bumble.

This time was much different - huge scab removal with giant gaping holes.
Wow... even with a hole in the bottom of her foot, it HAS to be more "comfortable" walking than it was with that inside her foot! ****! Were you able to "root out" the offending "growth" from both feet or was that the only one you were able to get? Great job there Dr. SCG!

Yeah she's already walking better with the holes. Both feet have holes, one is obviously much bigger than the other - where I removed that giant white hard thing under the scab. Her pedicure last night the swelling was already visibly down. I started her on some antibiotics just in case and been packing it with antibiotics as well. I will continue to reassess, I've got different antibiotics that I can switch her to if needed.

Ok, I will a few pages.

face is fine only I notice the difference. The blood pressure is doing ok but the meds keep me dizzy all the time. The Diabedes meds bring my blood sugar down but not down enough. Right now my Weight loss program is out the window dealing with grandmas health issues.

Oh my goodness Deb, you are going through some stuff! So sorry.

I have someone that is wanting to find a thread that would be fun to talk and visit in and talk chickens here and there....and he is going through High BP and dizzy right now! He needs to come in here and talk with you. Who would have thought that the meds would make a person dizzy, you would think that the Meds. would help by bringing the BP down...would take away dizzy. I do get dizzy with low BP. But I've not had that problem in a while..had it when they were trying to get my meds right. Thank goodness it's been good now for yrs. Knocking on wood!

SCG..I've done bumble foot many times, had some large abscess in a couple, but nothing like that. That poor thing must feel much better! Good job!

the visiting nurse came by today to dress her arm injury.... 100 year old skin is like old parchement.... just scraping on something slightly is enough to lift up a whole flap.....

when she fell.

The past four days she has hollered to see if anyone was up. Baby monitor in the living room and my bedroom. then once she knew someone was up she would ask to get up...

Today nothing... but clicking noises usually followed by her flushing the toilet. no flush... then the sound of drawers opening and shutting more clicking.... I though .... Hmmmm I better get up.... she had her back turned when i went by her bedroom and she was "doing stuff".... I let her be.... happy that she was "doing stuff" again. Not only did she make her bed and address some clutter in the room but she got dressed...... HALLELUJA. That she was feeling well enough to be secure again.

my anxiety level lifted quite abit this morning
