I am very content with my very flavorful columbia coffee

I have been roasting coffee beans since 1984. I would not go back to canned coffee--they do stuff to it. You can tell because a 14oz can has the same volume of coffee in it that the old 16oz can had.I love stong coffee, gotta still taste good though. Being I work for a plant owned by Kraft/Heinz we get Maxwell House super cheap through food orders. Also Gevalia, love that stuff, and it's fine ground so works great in the u-fill K-cups for the Keurig, the Maxwell House is too course ground to make a good cup in it IMHO. The Maxwell House K-cups though are fine. I opened one up and it is fine ground in them.
If I make a pot I have to use at least one scoop less of the Gevalia, DW complains it's too stong if I make it the same as MH.
Someday I'd like to roast and grind fresh beans, you can even roast them with a air popcorn popper. Kinda hard to justify it though being we get canned coffee so cheap.
Yes! Those are real beans that starbucks sells.cannot blame you there I will say buying the starbucks I
know hat I am getting each time I grind the beans
The little girls all have the same comb. Very small, standard single comb with no sign of rose shaped combs. Once again, very puzzling. Whatever breed has produced the feather stubble on the feet and legs (maybe a quarter of an inch long) I think you are correct in that it was several generations back because she otherwise looks like an OEGB.microchick yes broodies can sure be unpredictable, huh! My only other thought on the leg feathers would maybe be bantam brahma, some generations ago. What kind of comb does she have? You've got me curious now, so I hope you'll get some pics.
Scg, I'm the same way with wanting things to be just perfect. I don't think I could ever sell one either. But my mother sold a bunch! (I still have tons of hers stored in totes though!) I can remember her getting $800-$1000 for some, even though we both know that for big ones, that probably still doesn't cover materials and labor. Unless you work for pennies.![]()
She always said it was more fun to gift them, and let people make a donatation if they wanted. She had an old boss that would ask her for specific designs, and he would pay her very well. But those kind of people are rare.
