The Old Folks Home

Hey Y'all. Glad your all talking about time change. lol I forget all the time.

That is how I knew the time change had happened growing up.

My mom ALWAYS forgot (at least that is what it felt like).

So....once a year we showed up for church an hour too early and had to wait around.....

And once a year we showed up too late, and my mom tried to frantically remember which church in town started an hour later than ours....we drove about town, driving up to churches to see people leaving....and after an hour we would just give up. :lau

We would either be early or late to school. Lol

I can't wear watches of any material so I get the clip ons when Kohls has them for $ 10. or so. usually Xmas. In fact I have a spare waiting in the wings BUT, of course I can't remember where I put it. The sales lady says if I pull OUT the button to change time. It will keep the battery from wearing till I plan to use it.

Also can't wear necklaces, earrings, rings, ankle bracelets etc. they can be metal, leather, plastic, mesh, anything - my skin has a fit. It also won't tolerate belts. In fact if I draw a line
with my finger (no nails- I bite them) around my neck, in seconds it will show up as bright red. The doctor said "skin writing," - and apparently other people had/have it too.

Ooooh!! I know this one!! My cousin (the same one that knocked her ear chrystals loose) also had that happen to her... Turns out, it was a build up of Histamines. They put her on a heavy dose of anti-histamines daily until it stoped. Basically, her body wanted to have an alergic reaction to SOMETHING so it would have a reaction to ANYTHING that happened to it.

We made dinner!

looks good... had tough time thinking about dinner today it is just 5
usually put it on the table about 6 or 6:30 James and I always do most
of the cooking joint effort
The ham is a fresh uncured one from the hog we processed Saturday. Maddy makes a wonderful brown sugar dry rub. I swear that child has a palette way beyond her years.

Wow..dinner looks really good, but have to say, Maddy is getting to be a beautiful young lady!  They grow up so fast.
Way too fast! And she does have a chef's hat, diva. It just doesn't fit when she's wearing her hair natural. She seems like an old soul, and she has the kindest heart.

I had a horse trainer who had to wear her watch pinned to her shirt. Because she would magnetize it and it would stop working. Even all electric ones... so nothing could touch her skin.
