The Old Folks Home

Bielelfelder/bantam cross maybe? The Amish guy I got the eggs from was approached by man who gave him an OEGB rooster wanting him to breed fighting birds. He declined to do that, bless him, but the man let him keep the bird. I've seen him strutting about the farm, dubbed, healthy and beautiful so I know his genes are probably there in some shape or form.

Z is a big boy but not 10 pounds.

Yes, living with chronic pain is no joy and isn't something people readily understand unless they have experienced it themselves. I once told my doctor that growing older wasn't that bad except I never guessed I'd be dealing with so much pain as I got older.

Hugs to everyone dealing with pain or health problems either for themselves or for family members.I remember studying foot drop in college :eek:.

It's pouring rain here this morning, thundering and as dark as late evening. Really gloomy start to the day.I don't think they are calling for it to get much better. Y'all know how it goes. The muck in the run dries out in time to be churned into muck again.

I was dreaming of being back in college and a new star wars movie!
One of those two things is true! and Mark Hamill will me in the next movie more than an ending scene

Good crispy morning everyone!
Well, our growing season is "officially" over (according to the weather service tho it actually ended already) woke up to everything nice and white and "crunchy".

Ok, I was so far behind with you guys I gave up trying to even scan read sooooo, congrats to Getaclue for the badge and I aagree you deserve many more. Hi and welcome to the newbie(s) and my go to comfort food depends upon the weather. Cold and rainy? My homemade chicken soup with scratch noodles. Cold and snowy? My venison Chili made with my own canned tomatoes and sauce.

I apologize in advance for anything (or anyone) I missed.

Oh and yes, Alaskan, I live in WI so cheese on top of everything including my chili and chicken soup (or my other go too soup, New England clam chowder)

We went to get my truck, and the oral surgeon's office called. Dr. couldn't keep the late afternoon appointment, but could take him right then. Off he went to get his tooth pulled, while I finished up at the mechanic's. I headed to the Dr's. office. They let me see him, but ran me out when they were ready to start the extraction. I came home. He'll be here shortly. For the next few days my mantra will be: "He's a good man, and in pain. Don't kill him".
