Yes, i was singing while i worked most of the day! Happy here! Love this place, my husband, and my animals!
Same here @CapricornFarm. Well said.
I was thinking the other day about people in other countries ravaged by war and our service people abroad. How wonderful it is that we are free thanks to those people! And how about the police and firefighters, first responders? I am thankful that they are willing to risk their lives to save others! What a great country we live in! With lots of great people!ditto x 2 worth it all
good life here we are very fortunate
Still needs the green weeds to get the manure working.
Maybe I missed something here, but I thought I understood that, in the "A,B,G's of composting," manure is "green," what it needs to be combined with would be a "brown," which would be something like wood shavings or leaves. Weeds added to manure is green plus green.![]()
As "hot" as chicken poo is, I'd think you'd be good to go - assuming the right amount of moisture and air. The weeds won't hurt, but I don't think they would be critical for the reaction in this case. The shavings are in the poo and i already added dead leaves. Is that right?
I added a drinking bottle full of water. The air exchange pipe goes up through the bottom and i drilled it full of holes. Hoping it will work for me!As "hot" as chicken poo is, I'd think you'd be good to go - assuming the right amount of moisture and air. As @Latestarter alluded, copper water pipe isn't welded, it is sweated. Might look similar but sweating pipe doesn't take near as much training nor welding machines. Also looks like that pipe is fairly close to the joist which would make it hard if not impossible to cut with a pipe cutter. I am a bit confused as to what I am looking at. Copper pipe with a male threaded connector sweated on. Then ???. A short length of reinforced tubing or something??? And going through the wall is the original frost free spigot? I don't see a purpose for the male threaded end since nothing it screwed to it. Perhaps a prior replacement job? I have NO idea how one would connect to the inside of the copper fitting. The darn thing is welded on the inside.
