And i am trying to compost in the bin under the waterer to provide heat at night. Plus i am putting a small window box in there to grow grass seed!

Nope, they can get out any time. Plus i didn't add aluminum foil or mirrors so not getting that hot.

it is cold enough for one. ..but don't have one yet. Maybe tomorrow I will have one kid toss another kid onto the roof...clean out the chimney. It is getting close to needing heat. ..don't want the pipes to bust. Outside temps are now in the teens.

Cold here, Al. We got the heat cranked but I suspect we will run out of pellets in the stove before the morrow and not want to venture out of bed. It will be like a marital game of chicken. We will both pretend we are asleep until one of us can't stand it and gets up to fill it.

Made 2 batches of soap tonight with someone who wanted to make them and learn the process. Hopefully she gives me a bar or two... I'm out of lye now after her two batches so can't make my own til I get more lye.

If you haven't had the plumber out yet, get him to fit the pipe with the proper threaded end at the proper distance so you can change the faucet/pipe yourselves the next time. It saves a lot of headache.

I had the plumber do that to ours at home. I really hope that was done at this place. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not. I'm not going to check because if it's not fitted like that, I'm going to be angry the rest of the evening. I'm sure I would've mentioned it. The cold water tap is giving grief. We may have to change it.
