The Old Folks Home

Penny, I almost forgot. If you don't see your kitty for a day or two, set a have a heart trap for it using a can of tuna. We have a crazy calico that used to escape the house on occasion. The crazy cat would hide, too terrified to come out but we would see her on the game camera at night. She was so terrified of that I don't even think she would hunt for herself. We finally set the trap for her and she got caught the first night. She was out long enough that she got good and hungry. When we got her in she had lost about 3 pounds. Pretty dramatic loss for a 5-6 pound cat in just a few days.

Y'all who have the snow. Stay safe. Don't try to shovel heavy snow all at once. Your heart will thank you for it.

try to use a have a heart we could end up with any of our three outside BF heard freck outside under the house so found him got him back in safe and sound

I love the out house quilt. You have a good eye for color combinations, SGC! The only way I can describe the colors is 'Cheerful!'

Just got sourdough biscuits ready for the oven. Waiting for them to start to poof up a bit.

Dinner tonight is a turkey thigh and leg for me and a chunk of sirloin steak in the slow cooker for DH along with small potatoes from our garden this year. I still have to do a veggie of some sort.

Then I got brave for desert. I had some biscuit dough left over so I rolled it out, spread cinnamon, sugar and butter, rolled it up cut them into rounds and calling them cinnamon rolls....I hope.

With our heathen felines around, the only thing I can safely grow in the house are succulents. I have a large jade that is recovering from the wind knocking it off the porch during a storm and pretty much smashing it flat. I babied it along and now it is huge. I also have a large Christmas cactus that 4 years ago won grand champion plant at the Town and Country Fair in the town where we were living in IL. It made the move with some damage and is starting to recover. I thought it was a gonner for awhile but it bloomed two beautiful blossoms for me last week.

The house plants that I dare bring in the house have to be liberally sprayed with bitter apple to keep the cats out of them. I love watching the look of disgust they get on their faces when they test that first nibble.

tech question. :D

So, a couple times now, while I am on BYC on my phone, a new screen pops up and says that some virus is trying to take over my phone..blah, blah, blah, stuff is corrupted, blah, blah. All in what sounds a bit like poorly translated English.

So I assume it is a scam, restart my phone and move on.

Anything else I should do? I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, and did a search for a virus scan...it doesn't come with one, or I can't find it.

Sounds great!

The best thing for stuff like that is to make sure The os and apps are updated.

You need to be a premium member or find an add blocker for android.

I use malwarebytes on my PC. There is a version for android:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware&hl=en

Not an ad blocker but is protects against malware
