The best thing for stuff like that is to make sure The os and apps are updated.
You need to be a premium member or find an add blocker for android.
I use malwarebytes on my PC. There is a version for android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware&hl=en
Not an ad blocker but is protects against malware
We use Adblock on all our devices. When DH gave me my tablet I was amazed at the number of ads that were popping up on sites. I got one ad similar to @Alaskan's. Downloaded Adblock for android no more ads.
I always get a kick out of the sites that won't let you look at stories because they notice that I am using an Ad Blocker and please disable my adblocker so they can let me see their wonderful stories/sites/whatevers. Yeah, right, like I'm going to fall for that one. That is why God made that little x in the tool bar tabs.
Al, you put people you don't like downstairs so they get pooped on!
achem.

Wicked so sorry your husband is having clotting problems.
I pray his body will heal quickly and for you both going through this.![]()
That's exactly what our FIL's doctor did to him, the doc wrote it off and he suffered a bad stroke that left him in a wheelchair for the last year of his life. Just awful! He was such an active healthy man. There was absolutely no reason for the miss, he'd been to see his doctor more than once. Dh suffered his second blood clot within a few months and if it'd been the other way around...we would've caught the symptoms.Oh my goodness, Wicked, what an ordeal for you and your husband. I am so glad that the doctor he saw had the common sense to as my husband puts it, not to ignore the elephant in the room. So many doctors do that. He could have easily said 'oh, it's just a virus', sent him home with orders to eat light push fluids, take ibuprofen, blah blah blah and missed what was really wrong with him. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery. Tell him to get out of the hospital! If you aren't sick when you go in you will be when you get out!
He likes to give me a good scare every once in a while...lol.Was typing the above and didn't see the medical post till after I posted above. Glad everything worked out OK Wicked. Must have been quite a scare!
ETA I read it that he's already home... is that NOT the case? If he's still hospitalized, I hope he gets all cleared and can come home pronto!
@Wickedchicken6 hope all turns out well glad he is back home to treat the clots
Good to see you!Woohoo! App finally updated and I can post again! I missed y’all!
Super scary. Glad it is mostly over.
Us too! It's not going to be this doctor now that we know more...lol.Good Catch by the new Dr.
I hope you can get a better primary care physician.
Perhaps that's how it is in the city? I'm not sure. The hospital I took him to is in a town with approximately 3200 people. It sounds like they have 4 doctors; all of them will be general practitioners that take turns covering emergency hours. There's no surgery/birthing etc. as there won't be a surgical nurse/anesthetist on staff. Basically, the doc is there to stabilize in case of severe emergency and you'd be sent on to the closest city hospital which is another hour away.Wouldn't happen here, ER docs are ER only, GPs GP only. Glad he can choose to use the guy who thought things through and glad it was caught quickly!
Is that $100/vehicle/year? Down to $30/year?Taxes in IL on a quarter acre lot with a 50 yr old ranch style home on it were almost 2000 dollars. Here we have almost 30 acres with a house, barn and shed and we pay under 800$ on property taxes. Car license in IL are over 100$ per vehicle. Here they are something like 30$. It was a no brainer for us.
