The Old Folks Home

I've always wondered if anyone has ever shipped with them packed in a box in like a suspension system gyroscope setup where the inner packed eggs would always stay upright and absorb shock.
I've never shipped or bought shipped eggs but it ain't looking good for having eggs ready for Ehal, getting down to the wire soon ain't it... If they just get their butts in gear for one week I'll have plenty.
If not I've been looking at buying shipped hatching eggs, madagascar game, or maybe just a hundred quail eggs (no one tell DW)
I have heard of sending packing instructions and materials to the seller...Some are very stubborn though and insist that their crappy packing method is just fine!

I like using a solution with Oxine, if I have to rinse my eggs prior to hatching. It seems to work really good.
Weak bleach, weak oxine and citric acid area all good. Hatching studies with citric acid showed a higher hatch rate.

Myth: cleaning eggs will ruin a hatch...very not true based on poultry research!

I have a few other things to do before I can concentrate on them
besides they are in a nice warm room resting after the long trip:frow:caf:oops:

Hoping for a great hatch!

My Dad was postman in Downtown Seattle back before people shipped eggs me thinks :gig:barnie
the postoffice has been shipping Chicks and eggs for probably 80 years.... Dad said that when the chicks arrived they had to get the brooders ready for about two hundred... Shipped in the mail around 1930s

OMG in my search I found this
