The Old Folks Home

I can't talk DH into ducks. Told him pigs were good pond sealers when he said no pigs I brought up cute fuzzy, lovable, funny, ducks and he said.....well, I can't print what he said but he is amiable to the idea of a liner.

Oh man, if Marek's wasn't in the big picture I have about 15 cockerels that would be heading for the local sale barn. I was working on the net covering their run two days ago after they had ripped a hole in it and they were doing their cockerel thing, running back and forth in the run, stopping to watch me work, pecking at my shoes being general nuisances and I told them that it was a good thing that I loved their stupid little feathered heads because I was really fond of roast chicken.

Think I'm heading off to dreamland myself.

Micro what about one of those single burner plates for your canner or a propane cooker that you could use outside?
Some old timers I knew used a propane cooker base for their canning out on their covered patio.
Old guy I used to live behind yrs ago that got me into canning venison did all his water bath canned tomatoes outside over a wood fire, free and doesn't heat up the house.
