Will you have more goats i milk this year?very nice! (well. .. as these things go.)
The last year we have only had one goat in milk... which was close to just right for drinking. On occasion we got more than we wanted to drink.. and Spouse turned it into ice cream.
Last year we had 2 milking and then I made yogurt and cheeses that don't need renet. So ricotta, and soft spreading cheese.

Sounds like you need feed buckets you can attach to the fence so they can't toss them around.The two of them dumped an entire feed bowl of pellets out on the ground right after I filled it, fighting over who should be able to have their head in it.![]()

I bought a quart of pasteurized goat milk at the health food store. Frankly I couldn't really tell the difference between it and cow's milk.hhmmm have a tough time wrapping myself around goats milk
did buy some for the Son as he lactose problem but the milk cow we were getting cows milk found she was barren but they also did goat![]()
Hard cheese is fun to make!should have 3 goats in milk in a month. gasp. thinking I will then sell one.
I will still be swimming in milk... will have to start doing hard cheese I think.
