I told my husband last night that I needed to start carrying my fanny pack when I was outside with my emergency antihistamines and Epi Pen in it. The wasps are lousy this year. I'm seeing them inside the house already and the population is already visible outside. I have the feeling it's going to be a bad year for them.

I read an article about a lady with a peanut allergy needing 4 epi pens before getting tho the hospital.

I just posted a new topic over on the hatching and broody whatever it's called thread but I'll put it out for y'all in case somebody has some ideas for me on the subject.

One of my surviving 8 buff O hens is seriously trying to go broody on me. She is 3, active Marek's free but definitely exposed and I just pulled 7 eggs out from under her and removed her from her nest. She has been doing the fluffed up broody clucking for two days now and I'm not expecting it to get any better.

What are the risks of letting a resistant but exposed to Marek's hen brood eggs/chicks? I'd be giving her the bantam eggs that I've been hatching from my own birds. Would removing her from the flock to her own pen be beneficial?

Should I even consider letting her brood eggs/chicks?

The only problem I know of is mixing inoculated with not inoculated chickens. Mareks is at your place so all chickens that live there will be exposed.

She should be fine brooding the eggs--not increased risk of spreading mareks

We also have a new lizard from Africa it's grey with a red head. It cross bred with one of the black sinks with yellow stripes and the babies are normal except their head is red. Lol

We are getting a lot of invasive Species! I wonder where yours came from?
