The Old Folks Home

BFs step dad was taken back to the hospital. Can't deal with him at home.

Deb, if you facebook message, and like long, winding conversations, look me up. I'm on fb as Hoppy Happy-Hen. May be hours between responses if I'm at work but pretty sure Dsqard and I have been holding a conversation via messenger for 8 years, now. It's convenient because it pops right up on my phone to respond back to and easy to send and receive photos.

And before any of y'all turn me in for that not being my real name, please note that I've already gone through that and provided fb with all of the necessary documents that show that that is my full, legal name.

so are they intending to treat you ? what about the swelling in you neck? great the other results are normal

I don't know. I have the sonogram tomorrow at 4. Not sure when the Dr. will get the results. But they will let me know.

Scg I don't know who would care what name you use on FB. I have a dozen accounts from when I was playing the games on FB. lol They don't care!

Got it Hoppy. Nice to know your real name ;) How is Dsqard? I've not run across anything she's posted on BYC for some long time.

Sorry about BF's father. Sometimes things just don't work out as planned.

I hope you have a LOT of friends that love squash if you planted that many.

Two years ago we contacted two Amish construction businesses to give us estimates on putting an overhang on the south side of the house. It had none and as a result we were always getting a lot of driven rain against the house that was causing leaks. The first estimate the guy came out, looked around, said, yeah, I know the guy who built this house I don't think it's going to be an easy job. He finally gave us an estimate of 7,500$ which we just laughed our heads off at and had the second guys come out. They looked it over and said 1200$ They got the job, had no problems and did a great job. They hung around and put a new garage door up for us for under 1000.00$.

It all depends on who you contact. The guy we bought our property from did absolutely gorgeous cabinet work. We even saw restoration work that he did on a house in Kirksville that they were renovating to put it back to the way it was during the Victorian era. The wood work was breathtaking is all I can say but today while I was crawling around on the lumpy clay, I told DH that if Idiot Child ever showed up to say howdy the first thing I was going to say to him was, If we knew then what we know now you wouldn't have gotten nearly as much money out of us for the house! DH said, the reaction would be that he would just find that funny and have a good laugh. DH was probably right.\

Been trying to pry mamma hen Betty and her 5 chicks out of the grow out pen so Blackberry and her chicks when they hatch can move in. Betty's babies are 4 weeks old now but Betty is stuck like glue to them. I open the door to the pen and she comes flying out, drives off all the small roosters and hens and then instead of leading her babies out, she goes back in and invites some of the older roosters in to join them.

Guess my only solution is to bodily toss them in the coop and let them deal.

@CapricornFarm. Picked a big warty red squash tonight along with three field pumpkins. Bet the squash weighed a good 15 pounds.
Awesome!

@chickadoodles, so far so good. It shouldn't take too long with the sonogram results. Usually by the first of the week.

Okay, here be a picture of my two Warty Red Squash, two field pumpkins and two squash from seeds I'd havested from some store bought varieties. There are two more field pumpkins but all three were about the same size. Lousy crop thanks to the no rain and high temp things. None of my white pumpkins made nor did any of my butternut squash which we dearly love. Luckily I should be able to buy the butternuts from the Amish bulk store for a reasonable price.
