The Old Folks Home

In case of alien lifeform invasion, how do you know people could outrun them anyway? We older folks might stand just as much of a chance surviving as most of the younger folks. Most of us older folks would be blasting them. We've got years of reasoning skills, and resourcefulness on our side, along with some spunk, even if we can't run. Of course, many of the younger folks would be grabbing their cell phones, and posting the invasion to Face Book, or Twitter. They'd be doomed. We old timers didn't get old by being stupid. We do have some skills.

You can't leave us hanging like that Al!! So ... did the boys think they tastes like what they expected? I see some pretty fancy dog treat "bones" at the small grocery store and the farm and yard store. Can't imagine paying that kind of money for a dog treat that will be gone in 1/4 second.
Yeah.. I asked them... :lau

They tasted the chicken flavored and bacon flavored. They said yep, the chicken does taste way different than the bacon... so they are different flavors.

However, they could not taste any bacon in the bacon flavor.... ditto with the chicken one.

Ok got one for you from yesterday. What's the year

It looks like the 2 and the 1 match the 1 and the 8 as to the depth and style of the cutting, while the 4 and the 0 have a shallow and sketchy look - like 1821 was done by a professional, and the 40 was done by an amateur.
My thought as well. If the 0 were original it would have been closed. The bottom of the 2 is on the same plane as the bottom of the other numbers.

It was a mistake in carving that was "fixed." You do see that from time to time.

Not sure which the original was.
"Corrected" or vandalized?

Getting closer, Bruce. What else is left to do? Is she wicked excited?
At the moment she is just seriously annoyed at her current online pre-calc class. Lots of errors in the book. Like it isn't hard enough to do in the first place! I have no idea how many emails she has sent the teacher. And this week they had a test they were supposed to take before they did the next chapter ... only there were questions on the test from that unit and involved "i". She emailed him about that too and he posted something so the other students would know they didn't have to answer those questions, bonus points if they did. We know who is doing the work first, DD's posts to the class are always the first, if not the only. The teacher expects 16 hours of homework a week which is ridiculous. DD said this guy isn't going to get a good review at the end of the semester.

She got a post card from the community college saying it was time to start thinking about spring classes. She said "Um, no" ;) She can get more excited once classes are done in Dec.
