The Old Folks Home

I messed another loaf of bread. I looked a recipe for a 1 lb. loaf. Lol
It's soft and taste's good. But it's a mini loaf. Lol
I found one for next time for a 1 1/2 lb loaf.

The bread looks good! My recipes use one cup f water per loaf in the recipe. Ratios are tsp salt, tablespoon of sugar and one teaspoon of yeast. The oil is variable but about a tablespoon per loaf. Flour will be about three cups per loaf.

I usually bake three loaves at a time but can scale the recipe up and down. Growing up, we baked 6 loaves once a week

all my people are buried in Hermosa Cemetary.... Its in Colton California... Where we lived when I was born....

That is a gorgeous cemetery.

Most of my Texas folk are devided between 2 big old cemeteries (different cities) but unfortunately I have a few outliers. :( My dad chose to be another outlier.

My favorite ancestor graves:

Beautiful pics, Al! I found the cemetery at the old Orthodox church (I think it's near Ninilchick?) fascinating and beautiful. We saw some other cemeteries when we were up there last year, and they're nothing like the neatly mowed ones we have here. I love the wildflowers growing all over them.
