The Old Folks Home

Going to take some Nyquil and get to bed soon. Just as soon as I get the socks in the dryer.

I'll bet! Last time we were there, we saw two little bull moose - maybe yearlings? they weren't very big - along the side of the driveway. They were covered with mosquitoes, poor guys! I wonder if they maybe rub on those crosses to scratch their itches.
Yes they do.

The cemetery at my church is way smaller and newer... we still have the dangdest time keeping the crosses upright. And yes, we have caught moose using them as scratching posts

@superchemicalgirl is is common for people to have a strong side effect to the Shingrix? DH had the Zostervax without any problems but the first Shingrix hit him hard for three days afterwards.

Can he look forward to the same side effects from the second shot? Right now he isn't looking forward to the second shot.

Yes, this vaccine is so effective because it has something in it that increases the immune response. That also means pain, inflammation, itching and maybe some flu-like symptoms (sweating, fever, body aches).
The second shot most people had about the same side effects.

With the hair tie? And the 2 danglie ends dangling down to your shoulder? :pop

Yup. Except when I go to work I have to tie up the 2 dangly bits.

Bruce, we have so many drug shortages, mostly injectable meds for the hospital side, but it's starting to affect the retail side of things as well. We still are short on IV fluids due to Maria hitting PR last fall. It's significantly better but for a few months early this year no one had IV fluids to sell.
We see a lot of guesses as to when something is going to "recover" and they're often wrong. They'll tell us full recovery August 2018, but I'm still waiting. Sometimes things are earlier, but usually not. I had a drug rep come in and tell me that X (which we really, really need) was going to recover in July. Still waiting.
I would say that Shingrix is likely to recover earlier than expected. And that's because it's a brand name drug, it's relatively expensive and one company can get rich off of it at the moment if they can get their processing line up. Note that companies can't just ramp up production, they have to do it with FDA notices and inspections. But they have a huge financial incentive to get their line back up quickly. The generic makers of other injectable drugs do not. They are making pennies in profits so it isn't important for them to spend all the money to ramp up production.

Thought I answered that above. No, just get it when you can. You need 2 shots for the full effectiveness of the series, but if it's more than 6 months out, it's okay.
Edited to add, if it's less than 4 weeks between first dose and second dose, you do need to repeat the second dose (ie got it too soon).

thank you SCG my pharmacist said he would let me know if/when it comes in, though he has probably told many, many folks that. I can see the free for all with everyone fighting over the shot.

If you've ever seen women fighting over the last of anything you know how blood thirsty they can be. Some months ago there was a big fight in a Walmart were women were "slugging it out" for the last notebook for school. I think it ended up destroyed in battle.
