The Old Folks Home

::Snort::
its five forty five am here getting ready for my first Coloscopy
and I read about tieing up two dangly bits..... :lau:oops:
It is pretty humorous when taken out of context! Sort of fits better over on BYH, they talk about that all the time ;)

Thanks SGC. DH isn't too happy to hear that. He had a pretty extreme reaction to the first shot. May take a team of wild horses to drag him in for that second and I can't say I blame him.

Show him a couple pictures of what shingles looks like and read him some stories of people who still have pain, years later, from the virus.

Then tell him you'll buy him an ice cream cone on the way home if he's a good boy.

Micro I sure hope your husband reported his bad reaction to his doctor. USDA likes that reported to them also. If it was that bad maybe he shouldn't get the second one.

In my case my arm was stiff/achy for about 3 weeks. Much longer than usual shots. I have them do the left arm - so all that made me worry I was going to have a heart attack.
Thankfully not.

PS no ice cream cone for me but a $ 5. coupon for anything in Target.. Also got a $ 5. cpn for refilling prescripts. Wonder if I would have come in different days for my 3 prescripts. if I would have had 3- $ 5 cpns. It sure helps because they lie when they say they lowered prices. My pharmacist did let me pick a candy bar out of his private collection :love. We go back to the 90's. & always joking around. That's why I go in there for shots- though sometimes he does harpoon them. He's not scary like some doctors or nurses.

The bread looks good! My recipes use one cup f water per loaf in the recipe. Ratios are tsp salt, tablespoon of sugar and one teaspoon of yeast. The oil is variable but about a tablespoon per loaf. Flour will be about three cups per loaf.

I usually bake three loaves at a time but can scale the recipe up and down. Growing up, we baked 6 loaves once a week

Thank you Ron! I appreciate your help so much!
Now I can adjust this recipe and my favorite one.

Yep.

Those statues were shipped over from Italy.

That is a beautiful headstone Al!

Ooh, I could make out on that. I only have one, it is generic and so cheap my part is $0.00.

Ooh me, call on me!!!!!!
I had shingles years before I was old enough for the old vaccine. Don't still have pain from it "years later" but it was like someone was stabbing a knife into my quad, occasionally twisting it for a few seconds. This was BEFORE the blisters show up on my back. Pain went all the way down to my ankle though less pain below the knee. Lasted several days. Started on Sunday, went to regular Dr.'s office Monday, they figured I had just strained it. DW saw the blisters on Wed. Went to the Immediate Care place. Got Gabapentin. Pain right up there with the kidney stone that got me my one and only (so far and last I hope) ambulance ride to the ER. Kidney stone pain only lasted a couple of hours. Thus shingle pain "wins" as the worst pain ever.
