I asked my Dr if I could get the shingles shot. She said they don't know if it will interact with my other meds yet so I need to hold off on it.

Ask him to go ahead and do it ... when I was still practicing would not vaccinate dogs or cats on Pred it would not work when immune is suppressed but not sure is the same on people so Doc would go ahead vaccinate me for flu and stuff

We have not even asked around here yet being 58 they want one older for prevnar 13 but Doc gave it to me with my history he is giving me a script for Shingles as they want you 62 he did when I had a shingles vac 2 years ago

The new vaccine for shingles starts at 50 years old.

The husband super loved his wife.. and she died in early middle age from a ruptured appendix. He was highly distraught at her death. (Painful and prolonged)

Which is why he went whole hog on the grave. He shipped the 2 statues over when she passed. The kneeling weeping girl just to be there by the graves, and the standing angel was then incorporated into her headstone. The base and other headstones were all made locally.

They had 3 kids, and 2 died without issue, and they are to the left of the angel/their mom, with the weeping girl between the two adult children.

I've already had shingles. They are not fun. Didn't even know I'd had chicken pox although they told me at the health dept when I called them that it was possible to have 'silent' chicken pox where you don't break out or you just get a bump or two and may think they are just 'skeeter bites. My dad had a horrible case of shingles and I took care of him so I suspect that is where my exposure came from.I read that the fluid in the shingles rash is rich in the virus that causes chicken pox.

Received word today that our friend passed yesterday. Sad day in our household.
