The Old Folks Home

Just so you know: Bone density is completed by approximately age 23. You will not really absorb calcium, and increase bone density after the age of 23. That being said, my mother's side of the family always had bone problems in their latter years. That was passed on to my cousins too.

My mother was a big fan of giving us a vitamin drops as babies, and a vitamin tablet every morning growing up. We also drank raw milk for many years too. She had no way of knowing back then about bone density being complete by age 23, but because of her insistence on us taking our vitamins, she did me a huge favor. My cousins have had shoulder, and spinal problems due to to lack of bone density, along with really bad arthritis. I'm beginning to show some depletion now, but so far it's not really too bad, especially considering the amount of chemo, I've had, and the inhibitors I've taken.

Now, I'm getting infusions of Zometa, every 5 months which is a more intense form of Reclast. This has stopped the bone metastasis, and helps keep the bone density from depleting as bad with the inhibitors I'm on.

For the record, I make buy vitamins for the grands, and my daughter is faithful about making sure they take them when they eat breakfast.

Watched them do a face lift once years ago on one of the TLC programs called 'the operation'. Mid way through I was wondering why anybody would ever WANT to do that to themselves. Afterwards I was embracing the loose skin under my chin and my jowls! Now I love it! LOL

Just got back from the doctor's. Flunked my Bone Density Test. :hitOn Fosamax now. Dr. said we were lucky, we caught the osteoporosis early. Let's see, that's Osteroarthritis, Borderline RA, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. I keep wracking up new diagonosis.

Guess the doctor I saw ten years ago was right when he said 'better get a bone density test some time, you know you're a skinny white broad':rant Speaking of skinny. I've lost 21 pounds now. Told them they should start promoting methotrexate as a diet aid. Only 4 more pounds to go to reach my goal. Should have no problem there. No appetite.

But unfortunately heard a big NO when I asked about my second pneumovax and flu shot.

Honestly, cap, you will not regret having the brow work/eyelid work done. We had several patients that we recommended for the procedure and they were thrilled with the results. Like any surgery, yes, you will be bruised and sore but it will be worth it.
Me too twice! I have osteoporosis. Also have lost weight...22 lbs.

The leather strapping came, it fits and it works!!

BF is going to try and glue our original flyer. There's a guy who can't fix it but will make a new one and will then use all the old parts to finish the flyer for me. Considering I don't have plans at the moment to spin, I'll save my money and just glue the old one since it isn't fixable.
Awesome!

think I am going to try swan song say goodnight
350x700px-LL-4b53c890_23dormir.gif I hope you have good dreams!
