How does the Prius do in snow?
Reasonably well with decent snow tires. But that is true of most anything that sees real snow. Ground clearance is only something like 5 or 6" so deep snow can bog you down. And earlier models, like the one I just lost don't allow you to turn off the traction control so if you do bog down, the wheels stop turning. Best thing to do is back up a distance and get moving again.

In fact, I got in an "I told ya so". He asked me to please get the right part for his toilet, so it won't do this anymore.
I'm a bit lost as to why a toilet with a problem would cause water to back up in the shower. Wouldn't that suggest some sort of blockage in the pipe?

I can't tell if your airbags deployed on it.
They did not. Had my seatbelt on, didn't hit anything inside the car. Glasses flew off, found them by my feet. Glove compartment doors popped open even though they are on the other side of the car.

but @bruceha2000 how are you feeling now Please...
Pretty decent. Still feel my neck and shoulders some, careful not to turn my head too fast but at least now I can get out of bed without supporting my head and only woke up once last night to a sharp pain.

We went to town, but didn't have time to hit Lowes, before we had to be back. It's ok, I'm going in the morning. I'll fix it tomorrow night, when he goes to work. It will be ok until then. Friday, his car will be done. That will be a big help. He had to have the transmission rebuilt.

As to the feed possibly being old, anything is possible. I'm not wild about the one feed store, or the Nutrena feed anyway, so I always put some Nutri-Drench in the chicks' water the first couple weeks, when I use their Nutrena Chick Starter. I've already mixed in some Mana-Pro Gamebird/Showbird feed in with their Chick Starter, and I know it's fresh, so that should help, if that's the problem.

The Nutra drench will help. Did you get some big ole bird yet?

As with anything, look for better prices.

Also heard a wild turkey gobbling this morning followed by hen clucking. If the wild turkeys are starting to get active hopefully it is a harbinger of milder weather....after this weekend when the low is predicted to be 4 below!:he:hit

Bruce you have to be a speed healer. My last brush with whiplash took me months to get over.

bruce, there is NO clog. There are 6 of us. Normal daily water usage includes at least 6 showers a day, 1 - 2 loads of dishes in the dishwasher, not to mention the water I use washing things by hand, and normal kitchen stuff. Add at least 3 loads of clothes a day too. All of this is fine. When Dh pushes down the flush handle in his bathroom, it depresses, but sticks there instead of popping back up. Just one night of his toilet running for 8 hours like that, is fine too, but when it happens night, after night, about the 3rd., or 4th. night, the septic tank is not only full, but overflowing with all the fresh water. All that water has to go somewhere, so it seeks the lowest level. In our home, that is the master shower drain. The next lowest, is the main shower drain. Our bathtubs are elevated, spa style, so the drains are higher. They're never affected.

Dh needed my vehicle for work tonight, so we had to cut our trip to town a little short. I didn't get to Lowes to get the new flush handle. He's not home, and his toilet is not running, so it will be fine until I go in the morning. I'll get it fixed tomorrow.

This is not the first time I've had to deal with this almost exact problem. The first house I owned had super hard water. The mineral deposits would build up on everything. I had to frequently unclog the shower heads, the screens on the faucets, and washing machine hoses. That included keeping the moving parts inside the toilets free of deposits, and working too. The lowest drain in that house was the main bathtub. It wasn't long before I got a softener, which solved the problem.

The problem with this house has always been iron. The previous owner had a chlorine type iron system for this house. At some point, she went to adjust the chlorine feed, and broke the knob off in the high position. She left it that way, and bought bottled water for cooking, and drinking. High chlorine erodes, and corrodes metals, along with changing the composition of plastics. Dh got a new knob, and got the chlorinator unstuck, then set it to the correct setting, but a lot of damage had already been done to some things. The toilets, the dishwasher, the ice maker refrigerator, and the washing machine that came with the house had all been affected. We changed out the old chlorine system with a new aeration system, and softener. I LOVE it. When we got the filtration system changed out, we put in all new appliances. The only thing on the toilets that didn't get changed out, that was needed, was the flush handle in his bathroom. It's his own fault.

How long has this been around no ingredient list I could find
I have been using it for 5 years or so. It works and the southland organics website has some research on their site to back it up

I went to TSC today. I had to get a new thermometer for the brooder, and decided to get a spare too. I told the gal at the register what I was needing, and asked where they were. I went where she told me, and they were veterinary thermometers for horses/cattle. I went back again to ask where their incubator/brooder thermometers might be. She called someone to help me. A guy came, and escortedt me to the back of the store. There was a strip with some hanging on it. The guy pulled one off the strip, and handed it to me. I told him I thought I might like one more, so he handed me another. I asked him what he thought the temperature might be inside the store. 70 something. I handed him back the second thermometer. According to the second one, it was 0 degrees in the store. He went to get the last one on the strip, and noticed that it too said it was 0 degrees. He grabbed them, and took off with them. When he returned, he apologized that they didn't have any more. That's ok, I got 1 that works, so I'm happy. I'm so thankful I paid attention, and noticed the other one wasn't working. I would hate to have gotten home with it, only to discover it was worthless.
