My silky will not touch meal worms grass or lettuce they gouge on now main coop
I buy 5 lbs every month they crowd and beat each other to get them...
really love the buffalo quilt makes my ragtime's look poor

I tried to grow broccoli once. Washed it REAL good, steamed it till it had a bit of crunch left in it. Added some butter, took a big bite, savored, swallowed, looked down to discover half a worm.

True story. Refused to ever grow it again and I am still suspicious of store bought, especially with some of the horror stories you read on the news about people finding nasty stuff in their produce.

Yeah, I'm pretty much gag proof but that had me running to the nearest garbage can. By that time the deed was done and I'd swallowed the offending little green worm.

Funny, after all these years I can still see the color of that worm in my mind.

Penny, my birds would break the bank if I bought them mealworms. I scored a package of stale Kaiser rolls at the store earlier this month. It'd been a while since I'd treated the birds to a bread treat so I took a roll out to them. Ever seen piranhas feed? Or remember the velociraptor scene from Jurassic Park when they jump on the fat guy when he crashes his jeep in the jungle?

Yeah my sweet little bantams must have seen it too because I was lucky to come away with fingers intact.

@Alaskan, gorgeous quilts and pics of the pillows! I would love to have two cow hide pillows with hair on! What a great gift!

Kid 2 is in Houston right now with my mom... she took him to the rodeo where there was a small quilt show.

He sent me these 2 quilt photos... not great photos, but great quilts.

Oh... and my mom just bought me 2 cow hide pillows!!!

I am so excited!

These are amazing, stunning, a lot of work.

Lost my voice at work. Less cold today. We have a heated mattress pad and a blanket and you'd better believe those are cranked up most nights.

No offense taken. I realize I was out of line but I was cold and tired and it made sense at the time. I would have set myself on fire if I thought it would be beneficial long term.
Finally warm. Don't feel great but don't feel like death.

Got my latest quilt all finished. Hope to gift it tomorrow. Spent 4 hours tonight doing the binding.
