The Old Folks Home

Thanks DD:hugswhat a sweet thing to read early in the morning or anytime for that matter!

Temp is climbing to 34 today and the extended forecast calls for slowly climbing temps into the foreseeable future. I:celebrate let the thaw begin!
How are you today Becky?

19 degrees here but the sun is shining. It will be so nice to go out and not have to wear three layers of clothes, two hats, two pairs of gloves and thermal lined boots twice a day when I venture out to take care of the birds and venturing out for the mail or firewood.

I'm seeing a few 50+ degree temps in the extended forecast now which will be soooo nice.

SGC forgot to mention, I love the bigfoot quilt. It reminds me of those funny programs on TV where the guys are wandering around the timber thumping on trees and howling into the air.

The friend who has my Fayoumi chicks figured in with his chick order just emailed DH and asked him if I was ready for the chicks to come the first week in April. Ummmmmmm no! I have a chick room set up in our shop now but it is too danged cold out there especially with the outside access door being there and being opened frequently.

Looks like I'll be moving the brooder into the hobby room...oh well, chicks are a hobby....or obsession depending on how you look at it.

I wish i had a hobby room to put my incubators in. Our guest room is too close to hubby's room and it is cool in there. Dog sleeps in her crate in there. If i put incubators there hubby would complain about the chirping. But the dander blows around and makes me congested when they are in my room. Too cold in the garage or workshop right now.

I know a few people that keep a small travel trailer for Hobbies... easy to insulate add an oil heater... Those things are awesome.
