Because she was holding the buck so the vet could use the wire saw on the scurs. Those Nigerian Dwarf goats are small but boy are they strong.

That was me this morning! I was on bunny duty while my host did goats and chickens. First hutch has a doe and her kits 4 weeks old. When I was putting the food dish back in one of the kits fell out under my left elbow. Had to chase that little sucker for some time. Didn't help that it could easily fit through the 2 by 4 fence and the gate is 50' away.

Today is DH and my 12th anniversary. No big plans since I can't go out to eat. Just spending the day together. On our wedding day in Casa Grande Arizona, it was 98 degrees. We got up early, went for a bike ride, then went hiking in the foot hills near by for the rest of the morning. In the afternoon we found a shooting range and had fun with the locals there who were target practicing getting ready for a competition. Got back in time to clean up and go into town. It was so hot we wore shorts and t-shirts. I wore a tank top as did the best man and his wife. Afterwards we went out to eat with our friends. Kept the whole thing secret with the exception of two friends back in IL who were watching our house for us. We wanted it that way. We surprised our families later that day with phone calls and emails. Not only had a great day but best of all, I married my best friend and sweetheart. It was the happiest day of my life and 12 years later we are still going stronger than ever.

@getaclue When my daughter was little, I used to introduce her to people as "my #1 bunny wrangler" (a "baby wrangler" is employed by movie studios to keep toddlers happy on set). Sounds like your kids are great "chick wranglers!"

I'll have to do that. I'll be they would get a kick out of being called my chick wranglers.

Our friend just sent me a pic of my babies! Mine are mixed in with his but they all are healthy, eating and drinking.

Gotta try and talk him into throwing that brooder in on the deal.
