Morning everyone. Happy Saturday.

They are doing well this morning. We are waiting to see what MMcM wants to do about the dead chick. I told our friend if they want to replace it ask them to throw in some packing peanut cockerels for him and let them replace the little one. These 5 are acting like flighty little Fayoumis. I'm going to have my hands full taming them down.

But these little birds represent the future of my flock. Their genes will strengthen my Marek's resistant birds genes, hopefully. Time will tell. In the meantime, it's nice having little babies cheeping away in the house. Really makes it feel like spring what with the 72 degree temps they are predicting today!

Oh, and I have another broody. God I'm pathetic. It's just easier stuffing a few eggs under her then wasting the energy putting the broody cage together and breaking her. So either I will rob the existing broody of two eggs and give them to the second broody or I'll just give her 3 of her own and tell her to have at it. No I do not need the extra birds and that is why I am pathetic and have no willpower to say no to the bantams when they do this. They are just so danged cute when they turn into a pancake and screech at me.
