Two of my DDs have social anxiety but not autism either

He has social anxiety..... But is working through it... Both of his long term jobs have been working with the public.

It is common for one person to handle the bills but not be able to write the checks, another writes the checks. That way if one is tempted to pilfer from the person they are handling finances for there is someone else who is aware of what should be coming in and going out. Sadly there are too many people who are tempted by other's money when they have control of it. We often read in the paper of yet another person embezzling from their company or in one case, town; person was both the clerk and treasurer, hundreds of thousands of $$ before she was caught. Have to have 2 levels of control to cut that back. PITA for all the honest people which of course are the vast majority.

Feelings are hurt.... and I cant talk to her right now.... Not like me....

I had to have someone come get my Aunt after 6 months. I just couldn't do it any more.

I'm glad you asked. I certainly was NOT suggesting that you would be stealing from her if you had the ability to write checks. My aunt got to the point where she needed someone to help with the bills and such. One person opened the bills and checked them, another wrote the checks, my aunt signed them.

You have a lot going on just with you and your surgery. Holding it together with grandma is an exponential addon. And you've been doing it for quite a while as she declines.
I have nothing but admiration for you Deb. You've been giving 110% for years.
