The Old Folks Home

All I need is the chocolate and I could be making this right now.

I tried making this with semi-sweet chocolate once and it made for a very bland pie, so it will be worth the wait until you can get some unsweetened.

Quick question to SCG... The eggs have been in the bator at leat 12 hours. Is it time to candle yet? LMBO ;-)

Me, too -- can't eat Hershey's any more. Lindors and Lindt are wonderful. I don't have any chocolate in the house, though. I'm supposed to be on a diet.

Speaking of chocolate, here's a good little recipe for a small, quick pie:

FUDGE PIE

1 stick butter (not margarine)
1 cup sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate (no substitutes)
¼ cup plain flour
2 eggs
pinch salt

Melt butter and chocolate together over warm water. Beat eggs in a bowl; gradually blend in sugar. Add flour and a pinch of salt. Then combine with chocolate mixture. Pour into a greased 8-inch glass pie plate and bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with whipping cream or ice cream. This makes a small pie and freezes well.

Dang it how could I forget something as important as that? I looked at my notes and I thought those were days instead of hours. OK tell me the intervals again please! I
