I am liking the sight of Naahvillw in my rearveiw mirror. I did not enjoy heavy traffic at high speeds through construction zones. I am, however, excited to be entering horse country.

Here is the predicted path of the typhoon and where we live. The path is 100 miles 100 miles north but because of its severity, we have a warning of 80-120 mile an hour winds hitting us. The people in the direct path will be decimated. I am predicting more than 2000 lives will be lost. The poor people have no protection and being islands, no where to go.

When will it hit land? Do you guys have shelters?

Sorry I'm off to making inappropriate aprons, now (reversible to an appropriate side for when you have guests)... along with attempting the sorcery of quilting.

The hickory nuts...not the trees. Yeesh!

I would taste the different ones and see which ones taste best. I would also start with the ones with the biggest nur meats in them. Some hickory nuts are a lot of work for very little meat. I would crack some that are less desirable for the chickens.

SCG sounds like your aprons would go like hot cakes. I suppose you'd have to pm "the frisky side" photo, to interested parties so they could see the merchandise. PM me first, I really could use an apron and reversible is great in case I EVER have company.
