Sharing this on my threads. Found out today that I am going to be a great grandmother.![]()
Guess I'll should start signing off with this...Without the beard...anyone?..we need one without the beard.![]()
Congratulations on your ever growing family! How nice that 4 generations will be able to get to know each other.
Feeling like a bit of a wimp tonight. I'm sitting here with all of my fingers and toes tender with the after effects of frost nip. I seem to have spent most of my day schlepping water to a variety of critters. There are ways of dealing with these things, of course, but since temperatures like these seldom happen more than a handful of times per winter here, it hardly seems worth the investment. I know that to a lot of you, a day with the temps in the 20's seems balmy at this time of year, but being out in it all day has wiped me out. By this weekend, we'll be in the 60's again.![]()
20 may seem balmy to us but it's still cold and still below freezing -- still dangerous to exposed flesh and still causes headaches like frozen waterers. It can be even more of a pain to those of you not used to it - up here we at least have the tools to battle it. I can't imagine trying to fight it without all of our specially designed outerwear and farm technology.
I can't imagine being one of those people trapped on the train overnight in the snow, talk about a bad experience...
