My little window A/C unit - set to TRY to keep the living room at or below 78 degrees - was working until after midnight.... It doesn't cool down all that much at night up here in the Foothills.
My adult cat, Lizbeth, almost started to play with the new kitten this morning. But then she "remembered" she didn't like it and hissed as it ran up to her. Poor baby, it skidded to a stop and tried to go into reverse on the wood laminate floor. Lizbeth stalked away whilst the kitten found the closest spot in which to cower.
Two seconds later, it saw me and rushed to get some loves.
I bet Lizbeth will be playing with it by the end of the day. She has finally forgiven me for bringing it home more than a week ago; I can now pet her and scratch under her chin without drawing back a wounded hand. However, that kitten better not be in my lap when SHE wants to sit there.
