The Old Folks Home

Perchie, I was never married either. Had my son when I was 38, so I wasn't some teenager being led astray. My son just had his 29 th.birthday 2 weeks ago. I'm 67- much younger emotionally, which is sometimes a problem. My father wanted to kill me (his usual reaction to anything he didn't like) my mother was over the moon to have a grandson. My married sister gave her two granddaughters.

Were..... TWINSIES.... Bwhaahahaha.... I am 59...

Seems like the men you've met just didn't see a good thing when it was right in front of them.

It seems our broody issues are finally coming to an end. We picked up some Marans eggs yesterday, but Wilma spent several hours outside yesterday, and has been out for a few hours today too, so I don't think we're going to throw them under her. And Veera stopped brooding a couple of days ago.

My marriage is just 19 years young but my use by date is long expired.

My attraction has always been cerebral.

In the Philippines, a large proportion of foreigners are men older than me by 10+ years married to or chasing girls in their twenties.

I can't see how that would be fun for more than a week. If my wife was to kick the bucket, I would not find a juvenile to replace her. I have the patience with my kids but I would not want to raise a wife too.

Inday being Filipino was random. I first became interested in her over the phone at work. Her accent is not Filipino so I had no clue when I laid eyes on her. Even other Pinoys don't tag her as a paisano.

Oz, one thing that is nice with tuna steaks is mixing some butter, fresh ginger, fresh coriander (cilantro), garlic and some salt. Mix it all together, and serve a dab of it on top of the grilled steaks.

@drumstick diva and @perchie.girl you just never met the right one then... Yeah I have to compromise a bit but I don't wear make up.... Forget to shave for months.... I'm a bit of a know it all, very loud with a terrible laugh... Bring home stray animals( but so does he ). Not that your missing anything just think it's more a case of someone missed out you... Not sure why he puts up with me... :) must be because I return the favour...

Another for his swap resume @Alaskan now he's folding laundry.... I'd rather clean the coop. Thought I could sneak a few extra birds in after you said spouse didn't know how many bantams there are... Asked him how many birds I have.... He knew better than I did :/ bummer

Mrs Oz sent Jun off along the road to see what fish was fresh at the local stalls.

He came home with a 10lb tuna. A little football size.

I now have to get creative and turn it into food for tomorrow.
I'm jealous. There's a Greek restaurant near here that has an herb encrusted rare tuna that's to die for. I often prepare versions of it at home.

Coarsely ground red chili, coriander seeds, cilantro, garlic paste, basil, rosemary, salt, cracked pepper and a little lemon juice rubbed over 1/2 - 3/4 inch steaks. Coat the grill with olive oil and grill on high heat 1 minute on each side. Then serve butterflied.
