The Old Folks Home

deb, much better live, I love Bluegrass festivals. Everyone has a good ole time from the little ones all the way up to the gramp's and grandma's.

Yep even now I am going through some of the videos and I cant keep my feed still. I jsut shared those videos to show the kind of dancing I did.

I have even clogged to rock and roll... no one knew what it was.... but I didnt care. I love bluegrass and Zeidago and Irish dancing too.

@Beer can

I accidentally made mushrooms that were to die for.... starts with half a stick of butter and two of those boxes of sliced Criminis.... Melt the butter put in the criminis and cook for about an hour over low heat.... No salt No pepper no lid... Just stir em occasionally. Till they carmelize You will wind up with about a cup or two of very yummy mushrooms supposedly to put on steak or hamburgers.... Salt and pepper to taste when they come out. By not salting they carmelize better. dont give off their liquid too quickly.

Hi Jesshan welcome!

Now the conversations about mushrooms I can dig my teeth into. I absolutely love them but completely understand people who don't care for them vehve. My dad used to sauté them and stuff them with bread dressing (I don't care for crab meat) and we used to just pig out on them. Not a single other person in my family (to include my biological children) care for them. I can get them to eat them by chopping them up really fine and putting them into my spaghetti sauce but other than that, it is no dice. DH doesn't care for the texture and that is why he won't eat them. Deb your description of how to caramelize them has my mouth watering. :drool

Welcome back Oz and I have to agree with you. While I don't find corn disgusting (I would say I reserve that opinion for squash, don't care for it at all except zucchini) it is definitely not on the top of the list. Add peas to that list too. I will eat them in soups and stews, but a serving of peas is not for me. Now, if we move on to asparagus and spinach I would eat those all day long if allowed. :D
ETA - your piglet sign is adorable! :thumbsup

Welcome Jess!!!

My daughter is 4'10 1/2 ". A force to be reckoned with sometimes. According to her kids. Otherwise she is extremely laid back.

deb cool you can dance like that. I used to dance ok. but somewhere along the line i ended up with 2 left feet I think.

Bring on the mushrooms!

Yep, I agree!!! Boy, those videos brought back memories. I used to love to clog when I was young, had good knees and still lived in a place where folks knew how to do something besides Polka!
Altho I found that the Polka isn't a whole lot different, just done on the front of the foot and you have to listen to an accordian and a tuba!
