I read an article this week about healthy eating. Can you guess what it said about carbs? It said that regardless of what some say, Carbs need to be the number one source of calories in your diet. If not, you will have health problems...We are not talking about simple carbs but carbs. Whole grain carbs should be your number one calorie source each day.I kicked carbs to the curb!!!! And then started sleeping great. Could get up at night to let the dog out, but learned to lean against the door to thier yard AND NOT lay down until they were back in. Only then walk back to bed, and be almost asleep by the time I entered the room. Zombie walk to the bed. lol
I can awake to tend to children, dogs, or chicks, then back to bed and out like a light.
FYI--Screen time messes with the brain sleeep hormones. ANd keep to a schedule for time to sleep and time to awake. Weekends and vaca too.
The point is that you cannot be healthy if you cut out completely a food group. One suggestion I have seen was to eat whole grain carbs and add protein to each meal in the day. It works slowly but we need to work slowly or we will not get better--The stats on morbidly obese going back to normal wait is very disturbing--something like less than 5% will ever get there.
I have a new pair of computer glasses that cuts out blue I think. It is supposed to help with screen time messing you up.
