I FINALLY got it and I love it!!! Larger print, color illustrations and pics, the whole thing is bigger, easier to read, AND,,, loaded with with a ton more info on everything that can go wrong with chicks and adult birds and how to fix it (and when there isn't a fix). Well worth the wait

I understand now why there were so many delays in going to print, she kept adding the latest research.
Batteries in wife's camera is dead. Getting low on beer and 9mm ammo so a trip to OZARK is necessary tomorrow. Will post pics

What on earth do you think opossums would do to snakes?
Did you breed opossum x mongoose?

I keep opossum around for the poison snakes.
Wiki says the opossums are immune to most snake poisons...But I just watched a disturbing you tube video of a constrictor snake killing an opossum....It seems like the snake needs to be fairly small if an opossum eats it.

Aint nature fun!

Risk vs rewards....I would take the snakes.
Opossums are nasty nasty.

re: Post 47588

Well, we got the official report on what happened across the street on Christmas night....no wonder the police were there until past 2:00 a.m. Also found out the owner of the property found her renters on Craig's List (should've been the 1st red flag). The tenant looked like they stepped out of East L.A. Casting, so we in the neighborhood referred to him as "the thug." Turns out we were right. Had the property owner run a background check she might've discovered the rather active rap sheet....

The police found an active grow operation (over 25 full grown plants and 30 seedlings), a chop shop in the back shed and dismantled stolen car, and the tenant was illegally possessing a 9mm

Besides being booked for grow and sales, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and other items, he's being evicted!

What a shame about those plants and seedlings. And if you see an air conditioner compressor for a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L lying around after all that dies down...pm me

On the subject of oral rabies vaccines - the USDA Wildlife Services have been using one on raccoons in this country for years:

Very good information thank you for helping to educate me.

Quote:
They do kill the snakes mice rats cockroaches and they do a lot to clean up the mess around trash and other dead animals. they are beneficial to the environment as well the garden and are closely related to the marsupial family not to rats. They do not do damage to wires on your home or chew through walls.
here is a short link to some cool facts about them. http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/animals/stories/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-opossums and Oh My Lanta if we had big nasty snakes here .... it would not be good for me.
