The Old Folks Home

Ok, so, I kind of gave up on the whole top line Australorp thing, just couldn't talk the hubby into buying me some Hedemoras, so I pulled the trigger and ordered a few Silver Laced Wyandottes and Partridge Plymouth Rocks. I'm hoping the Rocks aren't as aggressive toward birds that aren't "them" as their cousins the Barreds are. Anyone had any experience with Partridge Rocks? I actually wanted to order a different color Wyandotte (like the color created here in WI) but they were sold out already. I'm thinking if these Rocks turn out to be real snots I can sell them to my neighbor lady and order the Golden laced or maybe even the blues, in the fall.

I had two partridge rock hens. The last one passed last fall.

They were great!

It's snowing again... I've done the walkways and driveways twice so far. The snowfall should ease up within a few hours. And on Tuesday we should be getting rain =/ Means the ER:s will fill up with broken bones again. Our walkway will become a slip n' slide. I should probably rake it after the snow stops coming.

So, how much snow in Alabama and Florida?

I'm in central AL. and we only got a few snow flurries. None stuck on the ground.

V hopefully no broken bones or slip and falls.

I feel so sorry for everyone stuck in the aftermath of these storms. Flooding and snowed in.

No snow in central Florida, but it's only 40 degrees out, and the sun is up. It's only supposed to get up to 58 today. Tomorrow it goes back up into the 70's. Yay!
