The rats are winning. I put out 2 new plastic eggs. Both with about 60g of stones in them, taped shut with gorilla tape. This morning the one in the nest box that is NOT in the auto door coop was missing. No sign of it nor the stones. Gonna have to get some rat traps. Unfortunately the ones I want are the Victor professional. I can buy them from Amazon or Home Depot online only it seems. Not gonna get them from Amazon, DD1 would have a fit if she found out what was in the box. Guess I'll have to order them from HD, have them shipped to the store, then drive 30 miles to pick them up.

Banks are one of those things that given if the world being redesigned, I would vote for immediate elimination.

A bank we were using to do our accounting (they had an accounting department)told us when we found out we were missing almost 40,0000 dollars from our business account (employee theft/embezzlement combined with identity theft) that they weren't really accountants. This came from the bank president. Never mind that they were advertising their accounting department and we were paying them monthly for accounting services. Not much you can tell me about banks will surprise me at this point in time.

Decided that it was time to change my avatar and immortalized my much loved rooster "Red" who died this past spring.

WOW! That rooster is hurt my eyes bright! pretty! What was he?

Wow never really thought much about the Nobel prize... except some of the reasons for its beginnings. and that there were categories...

but i went for my usual foray on the internet to find out more....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nobel_laureates

there were almost a thousand people awarded between 1901 and now.

@perchie.girl your correct isn't the world we have today with those answers
ready access amazing
it really is... just watching my son go through college has been an eye opener.

i spent many years doing research using the internet.... from 97 on. In the course of work. Before Wikipedia... I go there because its easy but i am used to verifying info because what is out there is not necessarily true or correct.

At the time I was able to pull engineering drawings to verify dimensions and manufacturing processes. Just getting the access was an adventure that no one has to do these days....

Thanks Perchie.girl and Beer can. He was a Buff Orpington, and one of the sweetest roosters that you would ever want to meet.

I'm very lucky that I have three sons of his who are as bright colored and friendly as he was and now at least 1 great grand son of his that is just 5 weeks old.

all the years on the road never quite knowing where I was headed
showing dogs through out the contiguous US learning locations as they never changed
but did get smarter and stronger dna testing cancers that took many too soon
and how to change the course
