The Old Folks Home

Maddiesmamaw give maddie a hug for me. Poor thing. I hope they find something to help her soon.

I never had allergies until I got pregnant with my 3rd child, then I was allergic to the whole world! It was horrible!

We wrapped all our blooming fruit trees in sheets last night and put a bucket over our newly planted budding grapevine. I am waiting for it to warm a bit before I go take the bucket off and uncover the cold frame with the baby pomegranate and elderberries.
It's colder here than it is in Alaska. I hope this is the last week of cold for us here.

maddysmaw, The hives can be nerves. I did that as a child. I do think I would have put my foot down on so many pokes at once. I'd let them do 10 at a time, over a period of time. You might have to get it done that way over the protests of the doctor, but it's ultimately much easier on the child.

Perchie how great to see your mom and Grandmom. Grandma looks a lot like my late grandmother. She was mom's mom and my favorite. She only made it to 70 I think. But she loved to laugh - my mother didn't. She passed right before we moved out of Chicago.

Grandmas physical age has always been about twenty years younger.... She golfed three or four times a week till she was in her late seventies.... then switched to aerobics.
