I loathe Walmart. Haven't been in the one near me for almost 4 years.

We buy our AA and AAA batteries at Dollar General. Their house brand alkaline batteries have lasted longer than any Ever Ready we have ever bought.

We are water logged here. Over two inches of rain since last night. All that old bedding I threw down yesterday to soak up some of the mud worked through the afternoon yesterday. I went out this morning to check on the babies and everyone's food and water and discovered that it had all turned into the chicken poop and bedding equivalent of quick sand. It's way past ankle deep at this point. At least the rain is set to stop by morning and sunshine move in. No rain till Sunday.....YAY!

Bunnylady is that a Dogwood tree? They are just starting to bloom here. I love them. FYI they are Missouri's state tree!

I have 2 dogwood trees in my yard always loved them on batteries I'll agree the dollor store last longer than others do I use rechargeable batteries myself but I also play with RC planes that's why I have extra batteries from AAA to C cell NIMH they hold a good charge I don't have anything that uses bigger batteries except the cars lol but I haven't found any rechargeable button cells yet that's what I ordered I go for the nacelle they seem to last a while the ones from dollar tree is as good as a dollars worth lol anywhere else the dang things cost 5dollars or more for two!! And I needed 8 so I'm out some money on that one and thanks to the ones on eBay I'm getting to the point not to buy anything from them anymore. I don't want to wait a month on items from China so I look for us only to see a good price and then find out it ships from china! The supplier says they are from the USA it's getting to be a joke!

We had drizzling slush today... driveway is a fishtailing fun ride.

Still making it up and down..haven't had to walk.

Sholders though are now soft...I get worried I will fishtail onto the soft sholder and then the car will ooze down through the soft snow into a ditch.
