The Old Folks Home

first time I ever passed out was attending a pig castration....    I think they were more upset over being tied up than the actual ""surgery""...

but still nothing screams like a pig....l

I have not abandoned this thread, just left it in capable hands for a while. SCG.

Life happens. My Dad went into the hospital with pneumonia and went downhill fast from there. He is back in his memory care ( really nice ) facility, but is pretty much bedridden and needs 24 hour care. I have requested and received FMLA for 6 weeks and will use up another 6 weeks of vacation time when that runs out. After that, I will retire. I will see you guys as much as I can, but there hasn't been time lately.

Love you all!

EDITED to remove typos
Wisher my heart goes out to you. I will keep you and your father and family in my prayers.
Much love to all of you

What kind of business or is it farm?

We hit 83 today. I was sitting out on a park bench, waiting for my tire guy to flip me over to summer tires, so hot I was nauseous, and sitting next to a giant pile of snow.

It was like the Sahara out there, y'all.

I'm not saying I want to go back to blizzards, but a girl needs something between 54 and 83. Just sayin'

Wisher, glad you poked your head in.

I paid something like 35$ for a big box of it at the local MFA. Worth every penny. We have timber all around us so mice all the time and the occasional rat are ongoing combats on our farm. When we took possession of the place it wasn't unusual to enter the barn and see mice running along the wall boards. We would saw logs and open up hollow areas and have mice poke their heads out at us. It took us a year to get the problem under control in the house.

One Bite is a Godsend.
Unless you have cats!!

Unless you have cats!!
Got 5, including one that is diabetic. They do a good job in the house. It's funny to see them in a semi circle staring at a closet door. You just know the mouse that is in there isn't long for this world. I'm sure that the war of the rodents would still be going on in the house if not for their hunting skills. Unfortunately, outside cats do not last long around us. Too many predators.

Just that if you poison n the mice and rats you poison the cats

Rental business.

I would be very happy at 89......or 99.

I think we have hit 50. But then we go back to freezing.

Dang driveway now has super thin melted ruts with running water, but the rest of the road and the berms are still solid snow....sooooooooo those melted ruts are now turning into sinkholes. And this week we are BUSY!!! We do not have the time to run down the driveway with the pickax getting the water off the road!!!!:barnie
