I get cranky before anyone would even arrive. It just goes downhill from there.
(And we have a guest house...don't even have to be in the same house...lol)
So...I'm glad we live out in the sticks where no one wants to visit.

I am no better when we have them ... even my caregiver every other day gets to me weekends are my salvation no guest house but twin bed in sewing room

I'm still trying to get someone (a very good home) to take my goats.

Came home from work yesterday to discover my Nubian spent all day rubbing her hair off... it was too hot the last few days and she got itchy (she's baseline a very itchy goat anyway). She looks dreadful.

Where are you, sorry, I figured out where.

Wish we were closer, you could check out my farm and my goaties and maybe work something out....But it's quite a drive from me to you.

I have my cutting board on it good height no one sleeps in it. Ma did till she fell out and I moved her into my room with the bed.

I went out there after work but didn't see them, there was a small amount of poop under the tree so I'm guessing they roost there at night. He had set up a hilarious have-a-heart trap with lots of bread trails leading into it. I bet he'll get a skunk.

I've washed a huge load of towels, a king sized comforter, and am doing all the bed linens now. It holds a LOT of laundry, gets it done fairly quickly, gets the laundry really clean, and it spins the laundry really dry, so they don't take long in the dryer.

When I ran the first load of towels, the first thing I noticed was that there was no visible water. That is quite different from my old model, which you could see when it filled partially with water. That was something I had to check out, since I thought maybe there was a problem. Me being the way I am, I stopped it during the wash cycle, opened the door, and felt a couple of the towels. Yes, they were very wet, and soapy. I did the same thing during the rinse cycle, to make sure they were actually rinsing, not just spinning the soapy water out. Yes, they were rinsing good too.

The reviews on how well this model cleans, is the main reason I picked it. As to noise level, it may be a hair louder than a comparable LG, Samsung, etc. model, however, it's only the slightest bit louder, so nothing significant enough to choose one of the other, more expensive models, that don't clean as well. I suspect the reason it's a hair louder, has to do with how much better it spin dries the clothes than the other brands.

You're selling your goats?
Are you thinking all of them...or will you keep some? That's unfortunate she was itchy.

DH was on chatting with his friend who was with us when I bought the budgies. He's thinking of buying a budgie so I spoke up that I'd likely sell this one. That was right before I posted about it. Now that I've thought more about it...I'm relieved that she may find a new home. My heart just isn't in it with her, as nice as she is.

I hear you....that would be disruptive and you lose any privacy.

Nice! I think ours is a 3.7.(I think) It was one of the larger capacity washers at the time...but yours is a monster!

I did the same as you when we first got ours. You gotta know it's working, right?
I often wonder when I'm standing beside ours and it's spinning at 1200rpm...what would happen if something let go internally? I wonder if it would be like the shredder ammunition in the movie "Battleship?"

I would love to have goats. I keep having nightmares though about having to deal with all the parasites. If they are anything like the chickens have been I'd be forever dosing them with something or another.

I did the 7th day candling on Dolly's eggs tonight. 4 developing. One with blood ring and one infertile. If she hatches 4 I'll be thrilled for her.

Rain! We got a brief shower this afternoon but really need a good soaker. Every time a car goes down our road it looks like an Arizona dust storm.

I hate to admit it but I' not keen on company staying longer than 3days and I like it if it is even shorter than 3 days. I enjoy seeing old friends but as I get older I find that it is just well.....harder....to deal with. My mom had a plate hanging on her kitchen wall that said "My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy". That pretty well sums up home. Unfortunately most of our 'city' friends wouldn't understand the sick chicken in the pen on the back deck or the chicks squeaking and peeping all night in the brooder which occupies its space in the hobby room. Then there is that ever delightful gallop around the back yard when one of the bantam roosters stages an escape. Of course there is that ever stressful week before they arrive when you just have to have the house spotless which is hard to do thanks to the chicks in the hobby room and the sick rooster on the back deck. Around us right now the turtles are laying eggs which drives the dogs nuts. They find a female digging a nest and stand over her barking their lungs out which means we have to go out and rescue the poor thing and drag the dog into the house. Nope no understanding at all. DH is fond of the old saying about company and garbage both beginning to smell after 3 days.

Guess we are natural born hermits.
