The Old Folks Home

It is raining pretty hard out. The garden will love it! Pulled some weeds and killed some bugs today. One watermelon plant left to go in the ground. Tomorrow the last two walls of the coop should go up, barring rain. An exciting time.
I am seriously addicted to byc. Always curious about what people have to say. No one out here in the woods to talk to. Learning new things!

Kids these days don't want to expend effort to learn something they don't have to. Many have no access to a vehicle with a manual transmission. I think numbers are way down on production of said vehicles. They may quit making them except in sports cars.
I don't know if it's just kids now...I don't think there were that many from my class that could or wanted to drive a stick. Mostly females but there'd be some males in there too.

It is going that way; the newer semis and most of the school buses are automatic. Not that I'm complaining, I rather like the automatics. My car is both an automatic and a stick...lol.

How can you have both?

What is Ron''s handle?

I am blanking.

I wanted to ask if he had a recommendation as to a free download that would clean up my son''s computer. It is an old windows 7, and still works very well...it is just slowing down
I am sure because it just has too much junk on it.

What is odd is that defragging the hard drive takes WAY longer than I think it should, but it doesn't find much. It is scheduled to defrag once a week.

Not sure what to do next.

Sorry I'm on delay...late supper due to harvest...lol.

It's called an automatic five-speed overdrive with auto stick. You shift it to drive...and you're automatically driving in automatic and with the multi displacement system working...which just means it turns of 4 cylinders so you're driving on 4 cylinders.

If I want to shift it on my own in the five gears, I tip the shifter towards me and hold it for a moment. It changes to a manual shift and automatically selects the gear I should be in for the speed I'm travelling. All 8 cylinders run all the time in manual. There's no clutching, just shifting. Everything's electronic. It's pretty wild. I SO needed this when I used to race. :love

What kind of car is it, and what type of racing did you do?

This car is a charger with a 5.7 Hemi.

Um, my first car was a Nova with a 350. I used to street race. Usually it's the guy who has to give up his car. In my case it was me..lol. DH has a '72 Dodge Challenger. His car was worth more than mine. The charger's to make up for having to sell my car. :(

OK to race an outhouse you build the frame on a go cart frame, one person drives while two push. It makes for hilarious races. Yes there is a chili competition to!! Lol
Ok, I'll bite. How, exactly, does one race an outhouse? Or is it a race to the outhouse? Maybe this occurs after the chili cookoff competition?

I'm getting more questions than answers, here.

Not to get too personal, but what are you eating that you don't use it often?
