The Old Folks Home

I don't get it? Why were those guys cougar prey? Why not "same age" prey?

Is there something I am missing?

It's Florida, Alaskan; the place with the highest number of cougars per square mile in the hemisphere.

Y'know, it's a funny world we live in, as I remarked to BB2K. If men were posting similar comments in response to a similar pic of female LEO's, those in the picture would be offended and feminists would be out for blood. The guys, though, are taking it as a good-natured leg pull (and probably enjoying having their egos stoked).

Me too my BP exploded... figureatively... but at 189 over 100 needless to say my docs were looking like a deer in the headlights.... Kept asking me if I was having heart palpatations and looking at my legs...
listened at my heart and its just cranking away... swelling in my legs was the normal stuff...

So not they have me on meds to slow my heart down Meds to drain me of liquids meds to protect my kidneys... on top of Metformin and glimipeerid I dont know how its spelled.... and baby asprin.

Been on them a month my bp came down to 145 over 88 and the docs breathed a sigh of relief... considered it "managed" But then another two weeks and Bam my blood pressure went down to 122 over 71 or something like that.... I spent the last forty eight hours sleeping...

Its NEVER been that low.... and boy am I keeping track of it now...

I don't "chill." From the time I leave for the appointment, 'til the time I walk out the office door, my heart is pounding. I can tell myself i'm being silly all I want, but that's where I am.
I have White Coat big time.... it takes about half an hour to chill me out ....

When I was diagnosed with white coat high blood pressure, The Physicians assistant had me sit in a darkened room. It took an hour to get blood pressure to normal.

My Dentist does a BP test once a year too and it is high there.

Yep it IS funny about the double standard too. Ugh.
Most women I've seen are much worse than any guy I know.
I've worked with a couple, at first they could probably scare a guy, they are hilariously funny when you get used to them. Have to be careful what you say here at work. Doesn't even have to offend the people that heard it, we've had people disciplined or fired for saying something someone heard from someone that heard it from someone else that works a different shift on a different day.....

For everyone with health issues...I hope that everyone can get everything under control and leveled out.:fl I'll agree wholeheartedly that this whole aging stage of life is not as lovely as one would hope.

Someone on here has been persistent with reminding me about testing my sugars (you know who you are :tongue)...so I begrudged and have been much more consistent. I've found that my blood sugars remain perfect...as long as I don't eat.:lau So I've made some serious adjustments to the foods I'm eating and the way I eat to try to accommodate the situation. It made it a little tough while I was combining...but I think I managed ok...lol. hunger3.gif

Funny story. Had a young truck driver, 30, coming in where I work that failed his DOT physical cause of high bp. Was put on meds, didn't bring it down next check. They ordered a FULL physical.
Doctor, a woman checked his bp again and said it was still way too high, he said 'how about I stick my finger in your butt and see how high YOUR bp gets!'
:lau
They eventually got him on something that worked and he kept his cdl.
