The Old Folks Home

What temperature, and for how long?
I think around 350o. A little less if the walls are thinner, a little more if nice thick walls. As for time I just let em go until they are tender when I poke em with a fork. One tip. Everything is easier if you line your pan or whatever with foil. I always do mine on a cookie sheet. Usually able to get both halves on it.

did the last one with the skin on but have always shown to do it skinning them
I do 375 1 hour little bit of water added but poured off before mashing
I don't do water because I use mine for pies and want as much moisture out of them as possible. After I mash I let that sit in a strainer over a bowl to remove any remaining liquid. I measure out whatever I'm not using right away into what I use to make a pie and freeze in baggies. My girls get the insides too but I don't bake pumpkin for them. I just crack them and let them have at it. I do give them any leftover cooked (and to my pup too) mixed with some rolled oats. Probably be my project for tomorrow since I had to bring all my pie pumpkins into the house after the night temps decided to drop into the low 20's and it's been snowing now for several hours. Think the girls will appreciate a warm treat after they see all that snow when they wake up!

forgot to mention that baking them face down with the skin on keeps them from drying out on the outside.

I had a hard time getting warm tonight. It was 67 in here, not bad but once my feet got cold it took 3 cups of tea and a heater blowing on my to warm up. If your feet are cold, you are cold.
Living in Florida must have thinned out my blood. It never used to bother me this much in TN. But then we had the wood stove running all the time. I think husband wants the wood to last as long as possible.

Yours sounds like a ganglion cyst. They are benign if so. I had one removed because it was causing problems.

The arthritis type that I have is hard like bone
DW actually just sent me this recently, lol

Had it a few yrs, hurts sometimes but not very often. Hard small pea size and sometimes fluid? on it down to my toes. Probably what it is. We have good full family health care, I do not go to doctors/dentists, unless DW force's me kicking and screaming lol, don't care if its covered. She thinks I should go to the dentist for free yearly cleanings, NO! Ain't ever been to one unless you count the x-rays in boot camp, 41 and still no cavities, and have all 32 of my teeth. Ain't letting no dentist poke around and guarantee I'll be a repeat customer....

Wow at @Beer can good for you had to get dentures at 39 Ma had them late 20's my half sister was like 41 no enamel handed down...
Do you cook the pumpkins for your birds mine love it raw also
I always fed them raw to my goats, just cut up in small cubes. Fed the birds the guts. But i thought the birds might like it cooked. I fed them half an apple raw today, they love pecking it.
