The Old Folks Home

Yep agreed. Part of the problem is that he has gained weight from the prednisone treatment and his cart is now tight on him. DH is going to reweld it once the weather gets warmer and see if we can't get him to accept it.

I was able to get some 'callus type' protectors carved for him and so far so good with them vet wrapped over the wounds. I have a 'cone of shame' that may fit him. If necessary we can put it on him and leave the wounds open to air for a bit but I wouldn't think of leaving it on him 24/7. This is an extremely tough and stubborn dog by nature. I found one of his boots chewed up this morning. I'm sure he did it overnight. Didn't want it on any more so he made it go away. I'm sure he would do the same with an E collar.

Have any of you heard about the benefits of "Grounding"?
I know as kids we were never sick and we ran around barefoot most of the time.
We got a new pair of shoes when school started and by summer they did not fit.
So we ran around barefoot till school started again.
But we did live in So. Calif. it was warm.

Saving this to give to my dr the next time he feels the need to yell at me for running around barefoot in the winter time!

She is not impressed with the bitter cold.
Me either! -9°F when I left the house, +10°F when I got to Northampton at 11 AM. +14°F when I left at 1 PM. -8F now, going to be -12°F in the morning.

I should drop by the Random Ramblings thread more!
At least once a day, preferably twice if you want to keep up. ;)

It's about 19 here. The builders guys all refused to work because it is cold. Wimps!
And that is different from how they "work" when it isn't cold?? :lau

Happy Birthday Cap :ya:wee
