Our 40th anniversary is coming up in May. And we were engaged for 4 years before that. He's a keeper!

I called my dd's nurse and asked her if they could put my DD in rehab or somewhere she would get care and could detox long enough to get her thinking clearly. I told her that if she went home there are only drunks that could not take care of her. And that she would need more care than they would give her. I also told her that if she went home on pain meds that I was afraid she would drink and over dose on the mixture of the 2.
The nurse told me she would talk to the hospital nurse and her doctors and express my concerns to them and they would get back with me.

couple of questions, chickens only? Would you be willing to do a portrait of a horse that way? How much would a head and neck on a small block of wood (about 1 foot squareish) cost?

I can do pretty much anything i can get a good picture of. It depends on what type of wood and how much detail. My signs start at $15 plus shipping. So maybe ballpark of $25 with lots of detail, plus shipping. You are in VA too, right?

@chickadoodles you are doing all that you can possibly do to help her. You may have to get power of attorney though to make anything binding in her care as she is legally an adult. Unfortunately you may have to get a lawyer and the court involved in order to protect her from herself. Hospital social services at the least. They know what they are doing and will help you.

Enablers...Grrrrrrrr is all I can say. I worked with bariatric patients for about a year. 700+ pounds wasn't unusual. They came into the center as rehab patients in order to get their weight down to a level that would allow them to be eligible for gastric bypass surgery. Not uncommon for us to watch visitors walk by the nurse's station with Walmart bags and us follow after them and confiscate packages of candy bars, pastry, whatever they were trying to bootleg in for their loved ones to stuff themselves with.

I have a grey (white) Arabian I would love to get you to do. I need to get some good pictures of him but he's all fluffy right now, when he sheds I'll do a photoshoot and get some good ones of him for you.

Sounds like cause for release from the hospital. Open the bed for someone who REALLY wants to get control of their weight and health. Come back when you are one of those people.
