The Old Folks Home

I am hoping for benign, but expect not since i saw the ultrasound. If they don't call Monday to make biopsy appt i am calling them. I now have my appointment finally to see derm, so i can have more biopsies.

Talk about giving your pound of flesh! YIKES! Probably better to get everything done at once and over with, tho. Still :hugs

Thanks. Wish they would carve off a few unwanted pounds of fat while they are at it. I am trying to be better with sugar. I have 3 packs of mallow cups left, once those are gone i am giving up chocolate! If i have none, the cravings are not so bad. The more i have the more i want.

I'm both looking forward to and dreading the arrival of the Girl Scout Cookies. Chocolate is one of the major food groups. I gave up having M&Ms in the house long ago and recently had to forego chocolate chips to put in my oatmeal due to the fact that once the bag was open, that was it.

Once upon a time I could eat whatever I wanted.....what ever happened to those day, oh yeah, I know.....OLD AGE!

Yeah, @Latestarter, if only I could put them in the family room. The 2 and a half week olds are starting to be fun to watch. They spend most of their time at their big window watching us.

I got the frame for the new quail hutch partly assembled and painted. Need to do some wire stapling and make a door, cut and paint some plywood. The juvi quail are being shipped Monday. Need to make feeders too, and think about a water system.

My neighbor & her kid just called me today from outside my gate.:he I thought she'd be selling girl scout cookies, but it was other stuff like cookies, cheesecake & other stuff that I didn't know what it was. I bought a package of PB cookies that cost me $15. I could have bought 3-1/2 boxes of GS cookies for that price. Then the kid looked at her mom all disappointed & said. "Its only $15. That's not that much money." :barnie In the mothers defense, she was appropriately horrified & told the daughter she wasn't allowed to say that stuff in front of people. :thUgh!

I use cast iron skillets without any problem. The kettle I was using to make jelly was cast iron also and no problems. It was spilling the hot high sugar jelly on the glass that did the damage.

What I hate is that you can't use a pressure cooker on them. I have a big canner sitting waiting to be used. I've been thinking about getting a turkey fryer to use to can but till then, it sits on a shelf.
Sorry I am not reading too rwell right now. long story... but you could buy a separate burner just for using with the pressure cooker... Propane cooks hotter than natrual gas.

Been thinking about using a turkey Deep fry burner for my summer kitchen design. BE awesome for canning.... they have sturdy legs and at a lower height so you dont have to reach up and over a hot contaienr to lift out hot jars.... Better for the back and better loading all round
