The Old Folks Home

I love it. I usually go out wearing my fleece lounge pants-the more garish the better-this morning they were red with white polka dots and little black Scottie dogs on them. And a heavy lined hoodie. If it is mucky like this morning, muck boots. Usually by the time I'm at the hydrant, filling water jugs, the Amish buggies are trundling by taking the kiddies to school. I always tell DH I'm giving them something to gossip about when they have their quilting get togethers. I always make sure to wave.

Cap those bunnies are outgrowing their basket.

Got the crop impaction treatment today. Was surprised to see that it was good old Dulcolax stool softeners. Really super fast service from Twin Cities Poultry Supply. I wasn't expecting them till Monday. So I dragged poor little Speckles from her roost kicking and screaming, massaged her crop, which amazingly was about half it's original size but she still had breath that could stop a train so I popped one down her. She is such an obliging little hen. Pop anything in her mouth and she will obediently swallow it down.

SGC, your little puppy isn't such a little puppy any more! Such a pretty girl.

Hope everybody's weather is better than today's was.
That is the thing, animals grow up so fast! Those bunnies are almost 5 weeks old. I swear the quail have already doubled in size. My kitten isn't a year old yet and he's already bigger than his momma cat!

He looks like he is 3 feet long!

What a pretty boy! Big too. Both of our Toms are huge. Johnny Cash, Half Siamese half black panther, I swear, is a good 15 pounds and Gem, aka Jimmy is 18 pounds and looks like a miniature cougar. His sis is only 7 pounds. We got them when they were 5 weeks old and both of them were so small that they would sleep curled up together on my chest. June still can but Gem barely fits on my lap anymore.

So I had 4 baby goats delivered today, 2 sets of twins... 2 boys & 2 girls. 3 more goats due over the coming month or so. I'm expecting my herd of 7 to double. Grilled up a full rack of ribs today. Just finished gnawing down 2 bones while updating and reading here and BYH. I have decided that I REALLY like the white chocolate Kit Kats. Not available here very often. I also really like the robin's eggs (candy coated malted milk balls) that are only available at Easter. I found one lousy bag at wally world over the last several trips and haven't found any more. I also like the yellow sugar coated chickadees and they haven't had them either. :hit

Oh... forgot to mention, the Bahamian island I've been following to purchase, wasn't selling at 34 million, so they just raised the price to 46 million. When I win the Mega millions I'll offer them 23 million, but won't pay over 30 for it. Need to save some money to build the marina and airstrip as well as utilities for water, sewer and electric. Oh, and I might need a place to live as well. A tent just won't cut it. ;)
