My mom loved roses. My sister is the same way. Not me, I worked with winter hardy cactus outside. Gloves don't help - next time you put them on, you discover spines have traveled inside your glove.

Most of my cactus had just a few nasty long, needle spines. Otherwise just spine hairs, that float on a breeze and still impale you. They seem capable of travel from one side of a hand to the other. Just wait for a dot to show up and go after with needle point tweezers. They are very irritating but not really dangerous.

Our roses look dead still.
DW had the day off and woke me up with my little sleep to go to town. Noticed there is quite a few more daffodils on the way down our driveway. I got the rest of the scoop on the girls being mean to their little brother for picking the only daffodil.
DW said they asked him why he picked it upset...... he said.... 'because I wanted to kill it'... :hmm:lau

Maybe he just wanted to get a rise out of the girls. :idunno

and.. the eldest is gone.

Might have to sell a goat.
Why? You'll have more room now, get another goat and it can sleep in his bed.

My youngest kid is 32, the oldest is about to be 38. (my KID is almost 40!!! :barnie) And I have 6 grand kids... That should be all total and it'll be a while yet before great grands.
You started too early ;) I'm a year older than you and my older DD is 25. No grandkids yet which is fine by me. A person should be at least 65 before they have grandkids, grandparents are supposed to be old ;)

Wait... What? Eggs come out of a chickens butt??? :sick I thought they appeared magically from The Chicken Fairy.
That is better than thinking the came from cartons in the back of the grocery store.

Um, don't let that kid near any kittens or puppies!
