The Old Folks Home

Just got home! Test is done!

I ACED it again!:wee:celebrate:ya:wee:celebrate

I am officially KE0QFR/AG until my FCC recognition goes into affect.I have to admit that I never expected to pass it with a 100% score. The material is far more technical than the Technician class but in some ways I found it easier. I know the last four days has been spent submerged in two technical manuals and one after another practice tests.

My brains hurt.

When they told me I had scored 100% and congratulated me, I looked back at my husband and asked him if I could have my pony now!

He said sure? Should I hold him to it?

Huge congratulations we new you would ace it

I have to admit that I'm not going with a supplement. Probably not the smartest decision I've made but when I figure out the dollars it makes sense. My old policy with Anthem paid 75%. Medicare pays 80% of the approved fee, the doc takes a hit on the write off and I pay the balance. Paying 20% will seem like a big savings after paying 25%.

looking forward to things getting back to normal or what passes for normal around here. They asked me if I was going for the highest rating and when I got done laughing I said ahhhh no.

Cool!

I'll still be listed as KE0QFR. DH keeps after me to change my call but after having it since Feb. I've gotten used to it. and resist. Don't know what I'd change it to even if I decided to. The /AG is a temporary suffix to show that I've passed my General License test and am waiting for the FCC to register it.

Yes, it is an expensive hobby. We know three people who lost very expensive receivers to lightening strikes this past month. Maybe 7 grand plus in losses. We are lucky in that DH has an Army background in radio electronics. He has built two radios and just bought a good radio used from a fellow club member at a good price. You can get around the cost if you have the talent and luckily my husband has it.

I'm about to cry. NONE of the eggs hatched. I just opened them. NONE of them even finished developing out. It looks like they all stopped developing at different stages, between days 7 - 10 days, if that much. I guess they were simply too scrambled, and the air sac too damaged on them to allow full development. Like I said, I never saw proper veining when I candled them. Even the one that was cracked and had quit, that I did the eggtopsy on, had veining very close to what was trying to develop, but no veining in the membrane, like it should have. I gambled, and totally lost.
Oh no, they were shipped eggs? I have really bad luck with those.
